Monday pm/Workshops:
Be sure to arrive before 1pm to catch some lunch and join the small-medium-large representative meetings – your input is valued and it’s a great way to catch up on what’s going on with WSTIP and its members.
The afternoon is filled with a number of informative presentations, including the results of the strategic planning process, which will impact the 2009 and future budgets, services, and programs.
Tuesday am/Executive Committee Meeting:full agenda, and in addition to four straight forward action items for EC approval, the following need to be discussed/recommended to the Board:
-Staff Salary Cost of Living Adjustment (Proposed 4% to be approved by the Board as a part of adopting the Budget)
-Approach to Admitting New Members (follow-up to the tabling by the Board of consideration of Union Gap membership)
-Executive Director Contract (renewal for four years)
-Flat Liability Rate Discussion (shift from a mode to actuarial based rate to be adopted by the Board as the 2009 assessments)
-Governance Policies (update of the previously adopted policies)
-Fiduciary Liability Best Practices Discussion
-2009 Meeting Dates including Executive Committee Retreat
-Strategic Initiatives (Camera Proposal)
-Claim Settlement Authority requested for 3 cases
Tuesday pm/Board Meeting: besides getting an update on the market, WSTIP, and GEM, the following need action by the Board:
-Executive Director’s Contract
-2009 Budget and Member Allocations
-Ratification of updated Governance Policies
-Election of the new Secretary and EC Member representatives
