Issued by Scott Spann, General Manager
Skamania Lodge
March 14, 2012
The management of Skamania Lodge was notified by the Skamania County Public Health Department today to communicate that an international traveler who was a guest of the Lodge from March 5th through March 9th, 2012, was diagnosed with measles.
The following is what we know at this time:
- An international traveler attended a large conference held at the Lodge. On Tuesday, March 6 and Wednesday, March 7, the Lodge was totally occupied by this conference. There were no other guests staying at the Lodge on these two days, and very few guests other than conference attendees on March 8.
- To our knowledge, this international traveler is the only one who reported measles. There have been no other cases known to us or reported within the group.
- As a concern for our associates, we contacted each individual who worked during these dates and notified them of the reported case from the health department. No incidents or concerns were discovered from our efforts.
- The public health department is working to identify locations of this traveler while visiting the country.
